Fast Facts

Archery is a fun way for Scouts to exercise minds as well as bodies, developing a steady hand, a good eye, and a disciplined mind. Prior shooting experience is recommended. All necessary equipment will be provided by the camp. We highly recommend that participants be 13 years of age or older, as they must be able to draw a 22 lb. bow ten times consecutively in order to participate. Completing this badge requires a lot of time to qualify. Participants should read and study the merit badge book prior to coming to camp. Scouts unable to meet the prerequisite requirements will be assisted in choosing a different session.
