Pack your bags for the ultimate outdoor adventure! Held in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Cub Scout Resident Camp offers Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos action-packed days of shooting sports, swimming, crafts, and memorable mountain campfires.

True Wilderness Living

Sleep under the stars in heavy-duty canvas wall tents on raised wooden platforms, or in Adirondack cabins equipped with cots, nestled in the shade of mature hardwood ridges.

Full Meal Service

No camp cooking required! Every meal is served cafeteria-style in the Vaughn Dining Hall, complete with kid-friendly entrees, salad bars, and dietary options.

Rank Advancement

Daily activity rotations help Scouts earn requirements toward rank-specific adventure loops and pins in outdoor skills, nature study, and target sports.

Frequently Asked Questions

Every youth and adult staying overnight must submit a completed BSA Annual Health & Medical Record (Parts A & B only). A doctor's physical exam (Part C) is not required for resident camps under 72 hours.

All prescription medications must be in their original pharmacy containers with the camper's name and dosage. Units can securely administer meds via their unit leader lockbox, or turn them in to the camp Health Lodge upon arrival.

Yes! You can register as a Provisional Camper. We will pair you with camp leadership and a host pack for the session

All campers and leaders wanting to swim or boat complete a standard BSA swim test during check-in afternoon to earn a Non-Swimmer (white tag), Beginner (red tag), or Swimmer (blue tag) designation.

The Trading Post carries camp apparel, hats, patches, snacks, ice cream, slushies, and souvenir crafts. We recommend $20–$40 in spending money.
