For Fun and Service

Scoutmaster Merit Badge
The Raven Knob Scoutmaster Achievement Award, a.k.a. Scoutmaster Merit Badge, recognizes the tremendous contributions that adult leaders make to the camp and the Scouts in attendance. See the list of requirements for more details!

Scoutmaster Cook-off
This culinary cook-off on Friday afternoon provides leaders an opportunity to showcase their outdoor culinary skills in a friendly competition! Prizes will be awarded for the best main dish and dessert. Leaders should plan to bring all necessary ingredients and equipment with them to camp. Refrigerated food storage can be arranged with the dining hall manager as necessary.

Scoutmaster/Staff Softball Game
After lunch on Fridays, the staff challenges Scoutmasters to a softball game, with spectators of all ages welcome. It's always a "big hit!"

Instruction and Teaching
Adult leaders in camp often bring special knowledge or skills that are relevant to our merit badge programs. If any adult would like to assist with a merit badge — or offer one not on the schedule — please e-mail the Program Director (programdirector@ravenknob.com) to discuss plans!

Adult leaders are also needed to help with transportation for field trips for Outback High Adventure sessions and Trail to Eagle sessions. Please contact the Program Director to assist.

Specialized Skills and Ranger Staff
If you are a carpenter, plumber, electrician, or just generally handy, your skills are always needed at camp! The Camp Ranger would be glad to have your help with various projects throughout the week.
