WHAT IS EPIC?

EPIC is Camp Raven Knob’s initiative bringing experiential opportunities to school groups & clubs. Through a day at CRK, young people can broaden their horizons and strengthen their impact on themselves, their peers, and their communities. For decades, Camp Raven Knob has set the standard for outstanding outdoor programs, serving schools, scouts, churches, and community groups. EPIC continues that legacy which fosters growth, teamwork, and a lasting connection to the outdoors, along with meeting curriculum needs.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

We partner with school groups ranging from 3rd through 12th grade, welcoming both public and private institutions. In addition to traditional classrooms, we also work with JROTC programs and other school-based clubs and organizations. Currently, Camp Raven Knob works with schools across Surry, Forsyth, Guilford, Davidson, Yadkin, and Wilkes Counties. We are also open to working with new school systems!

PROGRAMMING

Most groups take part in 4 to 6 different activities during their visit. Each program is tailored to the size of your group and the age of the participants, ensuring an engaging and age-appropriate experience for all.

Trip leaders are encouraged to choose activities that support their group’s goals and connect with classroom learning. The EPIC program at Camp Raven Knob compliments school curricula through hands-on, outdoor experiences. We recommend a mix of team-building, adventure, and classic camp activities for a well-rounded day. Programs run rain or shine, though activities may be adjusted as needed for safety and the best possible experience.
