Camp Raven Knob's Scoutcraft program is at the heart of Scouting. Its Scout-skill-packed merit badge sessions are sure to appeal to the outdoorsman. Scouts will learn critical skills in Camping and Wilderness Survival, create action plans in Emergency Preparedness, find an artifact in Archaeology, or even build a Pioneering project.
After developing skills during the week, Scouts in the Camping and Wilderness Survival merit badge sessions take an overnight trip to the backcountry of Raven Knob on Thursday night to put their skills into practice. In addition to eating a delicious meal with the Cripple Creek crew, participants will have the opportunity to spend the night under the stars.
Older Scouts with an interest in Scoutcraft may enjoy the Cripple Creek (Mountain Man) program, part of the Outback high adventure program. Cripple Creek provides Scouts, Venturers, and adult leaders with an opportunity to live like the frontiersmen of the mid-1800s. It's backwoods living at its roughest!
